Thumbs down Elona... Beyond Ridiculous

Anyone see the masses of Mo/W's sitting around in Elona Reach?

Think this is a coincidence? Heck no, just look at their pathing, its all too similar to be real people farming.

Obviously, someone has made a working bot to farm Elona, and its being exploited to the max...

I'm just trying to increase awareness, and maybe then ANet will finally do something about it.

Yeah ive posted this as well but got shot down by someone claiming they where just people farming. But if you look at them they follow the same path as each other and dont take a straight line to the merchant, instead they wander over to the cliff then to the hill then go to the merchant. You cant not notice the fact they are there and i wonder why they are still allowed to continue.

Yeah I saw them while I tried to get a group up for the mission. Massive amounts of people doing the same exact thing? As far as I know, there are no farming LAN parties.

Too bad I didn't take a screenie of it, but I was in district 2, and for two minutes I was the only non-monk character in that entire district. It's funny cuz theres a couple of monks spamming "LFG Mission"...

There's some real people farming there (myself included), but only about 1%. The rest are definitely bots. My record is 34 monks at one time that I've seen standing right on top of each other next to the merchant. They don't group around the merchant, they all follow the same path and then stand exactly on top of one another to sell. I didn't notice the guild tag, but that's not the first time I've heard about the infamous [love] group and their activities...

I forsee that tag in the above post getting removed, but I think we should have some kind of thread into who exactly 'that guild' are, what they want, and why.

Yeah, but minotaurs are easily bottable. You don't need to react to darknesses popping up and ruining the mood, just enchant up, run to the center of the first area, then cycle Bonettis/Cyclone or Shield of Judgement for X seconds, pick up the loot, and map back.
The only thing which requires more than the simplest ghostmouse macro is picking up the loot and salvaging/selling it.

UW is potentially more profitable, but to be consistent you'd need a human playing. Elona can be farmed 24/7 with just a few minutes of human intervention per hour.

I think this will be pretty short-lived, though. I've already seen areas of Factions which'd be as easily bottable and much more profitable, so I expect the farming army will soon largely migrate to Cantha.

Yeah, this is a bit ridiculous. It's so obvious, why can't ANet do something?

There are many people who farm there. I do it with my Ele and my Warrior, in fact. Its the simplicity of the spot, fast runs, easy to make decent amounts. Not the most profitable, but easiest. Thats why the bots have parked there. It seems theres more there than in Droknars - ever been to Droks ID1?

I remember reading that the drop rate in instances is partially dependent on the number of people in that same instance at the same time as you across the whole server. If this is right it is quite plausible that they are affecting the drop rate for everyone else.

I don't know if thats definitely true though.
